We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher in social psychology or a related field to join the project on political polarization. Our project seeks to verify the integrative model of political polarization that accounts for variables located at the individual-, community-, and country-levels of analysis. It consists of four parallel research lines involving a cross-cultural study in at least 30 democratic countries, a three-wave survey, seven experiments, and a re-analysis of repeated cross-sectional data from the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems.

The responsibilities associated with the post-doc position include a) study design, b) supervising younger members of the research team, c) data management, d) data analysis, e) results write-up, and f) giving presentations at international conferences.

Joining our team means becoming part of a supportive and collaborative environment. We offer opportunities for professional development, such as attending summer schools in methodology or participating in international conferences. You will also have the chance to work with our international partners and become a member of our young, friendly, and highly motivated research team. No teaching involved.

A successful candidate is expected to exhibit interest and experience in political psychology research, have a good command of advanced statistics (e.g., multilevel modeling, longitudinal data analysis, multigroup SEM), and be the first author of at least one paper in a JCR journal.

The full-time post is available from October 1, 2024, with a gross annual salary of 140,000 PLN.

Please send us your detailed application (CV, cover letter, and 2-5 papers of choice) by August 15, 2024, at paulina.gorska@psych.uw.edu.pl.
